I also want to remind you that I am not a perfect parent. I holler at my kids sometimes, I serve frozen chicken nuggets and PBJ on the regular for dinner, and can’t always get their hair washed (def not brushed!)
But, I’m choosing to celebrate all that I am doing “right.” I apologize + seek to connect with them after I lose my cool. I journal daily to ensure I am working to heal some broken parts of me, so that my children aren’t carrying that burden. I confront pain with curiosity and tenderness, as I know its simply communicating to me. I am a work in progress, like you.
