We think we suffer from anxiety. Depression. Shame. We think we are over worked. Under appreciated. Stressed. The truth is, we are recovering from an old conditioning that says we must work harder or do more to be loved, accepted or enough. This constant race inside keeps us suffering.

Healing starts with acknowledging this conditioning. We all have it. It sets in as a young child + is reaffirmed as we age. We seek relationships + jobs that remind us of it again + again, usually until it breaks us down entirely or we become conscious and stop to say enough is enough.

I was the former. My body started breaking down + slowly communicating this to me in a variety of ways. Migraines. Insomnia. Shingles. Weight fluctuations. Back pain. I clung to my control to try + fix myself. I had my blood panels drawn. I altered my diet. I took meds. I exercised more. I thought it was everything outside. It wasn’t until I started the inner work, did I see freedom. ✨

Breaking free means learning to accept yourself as is, right now. It’s taking small steps each day towards a continued practice of peace. You can ask for help + take it. You can say “no.” You can rest. You can show up for yourself.

What else would you add?
