Say “thank you” with this simple BEACH inspired gift
I don’t know about you, but I am always stumped on how to show our family’s gratitude towards the teachers, coaches, and extracurricular instructors (like piano, swim or art!) that teach, love on, and influence my children throughout the year. And while this small gift isn’t really much, I have found a little thoughtfulness and a handwritten thank you can go a long way!
If this beach inspired thank you bag interests you, I am linking all the items for you in today’s blog. And if you don’t live near the beach, then use this as inspo to create something similar (I am thinking mountain, lake, city scape, desert-themed?)
Truth is, coaches and teachers are the REAL GIFT and should be celebrated all year round!

My Top 5 Resources for Moms
As a new mom almost 9 years ago, I felt overwhelmed by the information available. I would read one thing, which would lead me to another, and before long I found myself down a deep rabbit hole more confused and uncertain than when I had begun. Out of desperation, I was listening to parenting “experts” that were not rooted in scripture, and that quite honestly, was of the world’s standards, not God’s.
It is no wonder why this caused me continued confusion, anxiety and uncertainty. I was like a dog chasing its own tail, running from one method or mom hack to the next, with no clear foundation or direction. When something didn’t work, I would try another approach until that failed too. Over time I started believing I was failing as their mom.
This is when I realized, I had to quit searching “out there.”
If I could go back and tell that new mom something, it would be this: less is more.
This week on the blog I am sharing with you my TOP 5 recommended resources for MOMS. They include podcasts and books, a guide, and a counseling ministry. Whether your children are newborns, tweens, or college students, I pray this blesses you in some way.
Helping Children Discern Through the Swiftie Craze
A few weeks ago I shared a reel on how I used Taylor Swift’s lyrics as an opportunity to discuss the power of discernment with my tween girls. You see, books, music and television aren’t “bad” and therefore don’t need to be vilified. But as Christian parents we can look to mass media and discuss with our children together what is true, honorable, pure or lovely– age appropriately of course.
I hope long after I am gone, they have this skill deeply woven into their being; one of responding to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and living out their faith that is unwavering and rooted in the truth of God’s word.
It isn’t always easy, as the Swiftie Craze is real and alive. But as a Christian mother, I am less concerned about entertaining my children like the world tells me to, and more considered with forming them in His likeness.
I dive deeper into how we went about this process in our home, and the questions that they asked which led to some incredible conversations. We don’t do it perfectly, but it’s the little moments like these that I believe make the greatest impact. #sewseeds
