Violations and Boundaries

Courtney J. Burg, Writer + Mentor

Just a reminder, it’s not your job to convince others of what you need. I know that voice inside tries to tell you “maybe if I explain it better,” or “maybe if I’m more patient,” or “maybe if I wasn’t so sensitive” then this can/will be different some day. The reality is we find comfort in the familiar, even and especially when it is unpredictable, chaotic or not good for us. This is how we get stuck.

Stepping into a higher version of yourself will take courage. This doesn’t mean it won’t hurt, because it will. Letting go of some people is very painful. Ignoring those voices is challenging. Setting and following through with boundaries is hard + messy. However I promise you, there is so much greatness waiting for you just around the corner. Perhaps the best part? You’ll finally remember who you are and what you deserve, and settling for anything less will no longer be an option. ❤️
Keep going.
