No, you aren’t crazy for feeling even more annoyed or hurt or upset because someone “apologized” in these ways. An apology is motivated by a deep remorse and a desire to grow closer to you. ⁠

You may never get the apology you are waiting for, but you can still choose to do the work to move forward. Forgiving someone does not mean you have to allow them back into your life. ⁠
