Fear of Abandonment

Courtney J. Burg, Writer + Mentor

We all fear abandonment, because we all crave belonging + acceptance.

We all have placed our security + hope + safety in the wrong things/people.

We all have experienced heartache, anxiety, and loss.

Almost every one of my clients to some degree, fear losing a loved one. So much so, that they bend or edit or silence themselves to the point of illness and suffering. They don’t speak up and certainly don’t cause a splash by setting a limit because … you guessed it, fear of abandonment.

But here’s the problem with living this way; you will never truly experience the joy + comfort + peace of being deeply seen and loved. By never exposing yourself, by fearing they’ll leave— you cut off any chance of submersing yourself in a relationship that offers authentic belonging. In which case, working through this is the way to securing your own peace ///whether they stay or go. Here is your power and freedom… And I can help get you there.

I’m opening up a few more coaching spots in July. If you’re curious about working 1:1 with me, be sure to sign up on my email list and drop a comment below that you’re interested.
